 Welcome to the Mansion Ave PTA (Audubon Grade School PTA)!


Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!

PTA is committed to bridging the gap of our parents, teachers & students so that we can come together and do amazing things!  Please take the time to read through the materials in this packet and ask any questions you may have.  We are listening and are always there to help meet the needs of families and staff in the school.

What does PTA do?  More than you would think!
School Assemblies - Family Fun Nights - Teacher Appreciation Week - Science Fair - Book Fair - Field Day - Holiday Shop - Grandparents Week - Talent Show

We don't ask for everything, some volunteering can be done in the evening, daytime and even from the comfort of your home.  PTA helps create friendships and alliances with our staff that last beyond this school year.  It's a way to learn about each other, our students, our community and our needs.

We also look forward to meeting with you at our first PTA Meeting of the year.  Please fill out the membership form, it only costs $7 to join and you will get so much in return.  Working together, we can create a positive, rewarding year for the entire Audubon Community!

PTA MEETING DATES

All meetings are held at 7:00pm for Haviland and 7:30pm for Mansion in the school library at Haviland for 2016.

 Starting January 2017 all meetings will be at Mansion's Library.

September 27th at 7:00pm

January 31st at 7:30pm

PTA EVENT DESCRIPTIONS

Book Fair - PTA provides volunteers for the Library's two annual Book Fairs.  Help is needed during school hours to assist the children in selecting and paying for books.

Family Fun Nights - Movie Nights and more! Volunteers are helpful with setup, craft tables, and serving treats.

Field Day - Volunteers are needed to assist the children with special outdoor activities.

Fundraisers - Profits from these fundraisers provide the income needed to maintain PTA projects and activities. 

Hospitality - Bakers are needed to provide refreshments for various events.

Ice Cream Social - Help is needed selling tickets, setting up, cleaning up, and scooping ice cream.

Picture Day - Help school picture day run smoothly and help the younger children with hair and clothes issues.

Holiday Shop - PTA sets up a "store" during school hours for the children to shop for family members.  Volunteers are needed during the day to supervise and help set up and keep tables stocked. 

Science Fair - Volunteers are needed to help with science fair entries and help with set up and clean up.

Talent Show - We need volunteers to assist with this fun-filled April event.   Assistance with watching over the students during practices and the actual show would be very helpful.

Teacher/Staff Appreciation - Volunteers are needed to provide special treats to honor our teachers and staff during teacher/staff appreciation week.
