Principal's Post

Dear Families!

They say that time flies when you are having fun.  It must be true, for I cannot imagine that it is April already!

April is shaping up to be a busy month at Mansion Avenue School.  We hope you are able to keep up as we pack in so many things!

Thanks to our PTA, the ever-popular Science Fair will take place on Thursday, April 6th.  This event will be held in the high school's main gym from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  All are invited to come and see the original projects our students have created in the name of science.

Congratulations to our fifth grade class for completing the DARE program.  We are grateful for the time our friends at the Audubon Police Department spent in teaching our fifth graders the importance of making good and safe decisions.  We will celebrate this accomplishment at DARE graduation on Wednesday evening, April 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the AHS auditorium.  Nice work, everyone.

Please remember that we have a half day dismissal scheduled for the whole district on April 13th.  Students will be dismissed at 12:45 pm for Spring Break and will return to school on Monday, April 24th.

We will end the month with the most anticipated event of the year- the Mansion Avenue Talent Show!  I know we are in for a real treat after seeing the talent present at the Variety Show last month.  The fun begins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28th in the high school auditorium.  You don't want to miss this event!

Please mark your calendars for Children's Night scheduled for May 3rd at 7:00 p.m.  You will be in for a treat as you browse the artwork and other projects your children have created throughout the year.

I hope you have a great month!
