Principal's Post

Dear Families!

May, May, Happy May!

As if April wasn't busy enough...May will top that, for sure!

Please join us for our annual Children's Night on May 3rd @ 7:00 pm.  Our fine art department will present Art through the Curriculum.  You will see your child's work as it relates to many topics taught in classrooms throughout the year.  You can also talk with teachers and see samples of your child's academic work.  Be sure to check out the 6th grade recycled bottle cap mural in the 6th grade stairwell as it reflects our ROAR motto.  Nice work 6th graders!

Our 6th grade safety patrol members will take their annual excursion to Washington D.C. on May 11th and 12th.  We are looking forward to new experiences as we see important landmarks and museums in our nation's capital.

Buy one get one book fair is coming!  You will receive more information from the PTA about the schedule for the week of May 15th through the 19th.  This is our most popular book fair of the year so you don't want to miss it!

We cannot wait for our spring concerts!  Please join us on May 16th at 7:00 pm for our Choir concert featuring ensembles in all grade levels.  We will round out the week on May 18th with our Instrumental concert also at 7:00 pm.

We will end the month of activities on May 25thwith our annual Fun Fair which is sponsored by our PTA.  You have received registration information already and if you are able to volunteer, please contact us!  We can always use help with check in and games throughout the afternoon.

If that wasn't enough, the sneak peek into June includes the 5th Grade Historical Play performance on June 1st at 4:00 pm in the MAS all purpose room, and moving up day in the morning of June 2nd.

I hope you have a great month!
